Farm Duwiseb lies in a remote valley, on the edge of the awe-inspiring Namib Dune Desert, amidst huge camel-thorn trees and neighbors one of Namibia's most famous and extraordinary buildings - the historic Duwisib Castle.

Vast farmlands are roamed by wild animals, tucked away in the far south-western corner of Africa ... an eccentric European noble man in search of wealth and fame in the late 1800's ... the stuff legends are made of that last much longer than a lifetime - and they did indeed!

We welcome you at our affordable family-friendly guest establishment situated next to Duwisib Castle - spend a few days on our farm experiencing the diverse and fascinating landscapes, fauna and flora of Namibia's south. Day visitors to Duwisib Castle find home-made delicacies and souvenirs at our Kiosk.
Fish River Lodge in southern Namibia is the only lodge perched directly on the rim of the Fish River Canyon offering guests breathtaking views of the canyon from sunrise to sunset. Experience first hand the geological forces that unfolded 300 million years ago, when the Fish River began to etch its way through hard quartzite forming a Canyon 90 kilometres long, 549 metres deep and 28 kilometres wide in some places, making it the world's second largest Canyon.

Set in a grove of ancient Quiver trees (Aloe dichotoma), the Lodge has been carefully designed to echo the terraced and rugged terrain as well as the colours and textures of the landscape thereby offering guests a pleasant change from the typical 'safari' type lodge found elsewhere in Africa. There is a blend of classical and contemporary furnishings and many of the accessories have been made by San and Nama communities whose ancestors once roamed the terrain; authenticity, comfort and simplicity are key to the Lodge's unique ambiance.

Klein-Aus Vista is situated in Gondwana Sperrgebiet Rand Park! Apart from affording grand vistas into the vast expanse of the desert, our four accommodation facilities (Desert Horse Inn, Eagle's Nest Chalets, Geisterschlucht Cabin and Desert Horse Campsite) are an ideal starting point for excursions: to the Wild Horses of the Namib, to the diamond ghost town of Kolmanskop, into the most diverse desert on earth.

Located in the Aus Mountains at 1,400 metres above sea level, Desert Horse Inn affords grand vistas of mountain scenery and sweeping desert plains. It consists of 24 spacious and tastefully decorated en suite rooms. Relax with sundowners on the wooden deck before enjoying a 3-course meal in the restaurant. Exchange travel experiences and recommendations at the evocative Wild Horse Bar or at the cosy fireplace in the lounge.

The Geisterschlucht Cabin is available for self-catering travellers. The two dormitories sleep 12 each (6 km from the inn); the camping site (1.5 km) consists of ten separate sites.
