Situated on our Family Farm - this unusual movie house as it's called in the North-West of Namibia was built on the cattle farm of Mr Burger in 2004 as a set for the movie "The Trail", better known as "La Piste".

Since then the Burger Family has renovated and revamped this magical house and turned it into an overnight experience for travellers.

Onjowewe is a very popular spot for Honeymooners!

Not your typical lodge, and definitely for the more adventurous. There is no electricity and light in the evening is provided by paraffin lamps, bamboo torches and candles, all creating a surreal and magical ambience!

Onjowewe "House in the Rocks' Lodge consist of 3 uniquely styled bed rooms:
One room with 2 double beds and en-suite shower & toilet
One room with 1 double bed plus 1 twin bed and en-suite bathroom
One room with 2 Twin Beds and shared bathroom facilities.

Furthermore there is an open plan living and dining area, Barbeque (Braai) facilities, a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, and a sparkling swimming pool with a huge deck where you can sit & relax and watch the stars throughout the night.

The Lodge is located within walking distance of the Otjikandero Himba Orphan Village!

Please note that we do not have any signs indicating the turn-off to Onjowewe Lodge so bookings are Essential. Should there be any guests booked, we ask that you please respect their privacy.

Duncan's Campsite View Gallery

Also situated on the Burger family farm, 20 km from Kamanjab lays a beautiful secluded campsite nestled between large granite Boulders !

Duncan's Campsite offers 4 individual camp grounds each with it's own hot/cold shower block, Braai and clean ablution facilities.

The campsite is also in walking distance to the Otjikandero Himba Orphan Village and ideal for the more adventurous!
